Machine Operator – Food Processing

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to work in a cheese processing factory. The role is initially on a casual basis, with the opportunity to move to permanent, full time.

You will be exposed to cold conditions, need to stand on feet for entire shifts, and the role involves manual handling and lifting throughout the shift.

Core Duties/Responsibilities:
- Setting up machinery
- Adjustment of machinery setting such as speed, cutting length, flow, temperature to ensure quality and consistency
- Quality control (inspection of product to ensure they meet standards, reject defective items, let supervisor know
- Cleaning/sanitisation of machinery (initial cleaning prior to hygiene team doing thorough cleaning) according to struct hygiene and safety protocols
- Health, Safety & Compliance (wear PPE, compliance to HACCP standards)
- Reporting machinery breakdowns

Key Skills Needed:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) certificates in food processing or technical field is a bonus
- Physical endurance, ability to stand for long hours, handle heavy items such as cheese blocks (up to 20 kg)
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills, reporting of defects, machinery breakdowns,

You will need to have flexibility to work on a shift basis and adapt to the tasks given.
